about us.

Liberation Church is all about transformation and impact. We seek to help individuals be transformed by their growing relationship to God through Christ. We collectively endeavor to impact the world through the power and guidance of the Spirit.

Liberation Church is Woke, Biblical, and Spiritual. We are Woke because Black men and women were intentionally created by God. The color of our skins, our family lines, and our heritage are not accidents but part of the package expressed in Genesis 1:27, “God created mankind in his own image…” We as Black men and women are not mistakes. God intends for us to be who he made us as we worship him and serve him.

We are Biblical because we are anchored on the belief that the Bible is constitutional. It is without error and is our ultimate guide for our faith and practice.

We are holy Spiritual out of obedience to God. God has called us to be holy as he is holy. One of our mottos is that we want to be #WhollyHoly. Holiness is a prerequisite for abiding in God’s presence. It is also a prerequisite to minister in his power. We are Holy Spiritual because God has said obedience to him is not by might, not by power but by his Spirit. It is not an accident that the Holiness movement was the foundation for the Pentecostal revival.

Liberation Church is global via the Internet and locally present in Prince George’s County, MD, and anywhere else where its members live.

We Practice

As a church we focus on:
#prayer

PRAY in the Spirit at all times with every kind of PRAYER and REQUEST. Likewise, be alert with your most diligent efforts and PRAY for all the saints.
(Ephesians 6:18)

#teaching

As you go, disciple people in all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, TEACHING them to obey everything that I’ve commanded you. (Matthew 28:19-20)

#presence

ABIDE in me, and I will abide in you. Just as the branch cannot produce fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me.
(John 15:4)

#preaching

My PREACHING was not accompanied by clever, wise words, but by a display of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith would not be based on human wisdom but on God’s power.
(1 Corinthians 2:4)
